The method, in one paragraph
Pinterest has no download button, but every public pin resolves to a media file at a predictable address. The downloader does one job: it takes your pin link, reads the public pin data Pinterest serves to any browser, and hands you the largest file that data exposes. For image pins that is a JPG or PNG at the highest resolution Pinterest serves; for video pins it is an MP4 in each quality Pinterest stores. Nothing is re-encoded, nothing is watermarked, and nothing is invented — if Pinterest does not serve a 4K version, no tool can produce one.
Always start from the pin's own page, not from a board or search list. The pin page is what carries the numeric ID the downloader needs.

Drop the link into the field at the top of this page and press the button. The page fetches the pin's public data — the same data your browser gets — in about a second.

Pick the file you want
If the pin has several qualities, or both a video and a cover image, they are listed for you. Choose the highest available resolution for the sharpest result, or the smaller one if you are on mobile data.

Download and check it
The file saves to your usual downloads folder. Open it to confirm — a video pin should play with sound, an image pin should be crisp at full size. If the pin is animated, expect an MP4, because that is what Pinterest stores.
