What PinSave is

PinSave is a free, browser-based tool that lets you save videos and images from public Pinterest pins in their original quality — no watermark, no crop, and no account required. You paste a Pinterest or pin.it link, we fetch the media from Pinterest's own content delivery network at your request, and your file downloads straight to your device.

There is no app to install, no extension to trust, and no sign-up wall. Open the page, paste a link, download. That simplicity is the whole point.

Why we built it

Pinterest is a place people go to collect ideas — recipes, home projects, outfit inspiration, travel plans, reference photos for design work. But the platform is built for keeping you inside the app: the only "save" it offers is a bookmark you can never open as a file, edit, or move. If you want the actual image or clip for a mood board, a client presentation, or your own archive, the official app gives you no clean way to do it.

We built PinSave to close that gap. Not to redistribute Pinterest's content, not to compete with it — simply to give people a legitimate, private way to keep a copy of something they already chose to save.

What makes PinSave different

• Original quality. We request the highest-resolution version Pinterest actually stored, not a compressed thumbnail.
• No watermark. The files you get are exactly what Pinterest served — we never overlay a logo or stamp.
• No login, ever. The tool works fully anonymously. We don't ask for your email, we don't create an account, and we can't.
• Fast and lightweight. The whole interface is a single page. There are no interstitials, no "wait to unlock" gates, and no forced redirects.
• Privacy by default. We don't permanently store the links you submit or the files you download (see our Privacy Policy).

How it works, in plain terms

1. You copy the share link of a public Pin.
2. You paste it into PinSave.
3. Our server reads the link, asks Pinterest's CDN for the media, and streams it back to you.
4. Your browser saves the file locally.

That's the entire flow. We act as a pass-through proxy for public content you already chose to save — we don't host copies, we don't build a searchable library of other people's pins, and we don't resell anything.

Our stance on copyright

This is the part we take seriously, and we want it to be unambiguous.

PinSave is a utility, not a license. Downloading a file does not grant you the right to republish, sell, or commercially exploit it. The content on Pinterest belongs to the people who created it. When you download something, you are responsible for making sure your use complies with copyright law and Pinterest's terms of service.

We built the tool with guardrails that reflect that stance:

• We only process public pins. We can't and don't access private boards or accounts.
• We display a clear "download only content you have the right to use" notice on every page.
• We respond to valid DMCA takedown requests. If a rights holder asks us to stop linking to specific content, we do.
• We never claim ownership of, or add value to, the media we pass through.

PinSave is operated by a small independent team that cares about the open web — fast sites, minimal tracking, and tools that do one thing well. We fund the service through non-intrusive advertising, not through selling your data (we don't have any to sell) and not through paywalls.
