Pinterest Downloader — No App Needed

PinSave works right in your browser — no app or APK install needed. Bookmark the page and use it like a native app on iPhone, Android, and desktop.

What the MP4 actually contains

Pinterest already stores every video as MP4, so “converting” is really just handing you that file. Here is what is inside it.

Video codec: H.264

The most widely supported codec there is. That is why the file opens on an iPhone, an Android phone, a Windows PC and a Mac without a converter.

Audio codec: AAC

The audio is muxed into the same file, so the sound survives the download — nothing is muted and no track is dropped.

Container and extension

The file is a real .mp4, not a renamed stream. That matters for editors, phones and upload forms that check the extension before accepting a file.

Resolution

Whatever the pin has — commonly 540p or 720p, and 1080p when the uploader published it that way. Converting does not raise it.

Aspect ratio preserved

Vertical pins stay vertical and square stays square. There is no padding and no crop, so nothing is added to the frame.

No watermark, ever

The bytes are the ones Pinterest serves from its own CDN. We overlay nothing, because we never re-encode the file.

One file, one download

Each resolve produces a single MP4 for a video pin. There is no zip archive, no batch queue and no second page to visit before the button works.

When the MP4 looks wrong

Six results that are actually correct — each one is Pinterest’s ceiling rather than a conversion bug.

  • The MP4 is small because the pin is small — a 540p source cannot become 1080p by changing the container.

  • An animated pin saves as a looping MP4 with no audio, because that is how Pinterest stores animations — as MP4, not as GIF.

  • Idea Pins produce one MP4 per video slide, so you may receive several files rather than one long clip.

  • A file that plays in the browser but not in an old app usually means the app predates H.264 support, not that the file is broken.

  • A 60-second limit in a very old editor is the editor’s ceiling, not the file’s. Length and format are separate things.

  • If the pin was uploaded as a GIF, the MP4 you get is Pinterest’s own container for it — which is why the file is smaller and cleaner than a converted GIF.

What comes out for each kind of pin

Everything Pinterest serves publicly converts to a standard MP4 — here is the file for each media type.

Why use this downloader

Built to do one job properly, without the usual downloader-site baggage.

No watermark, ever

Nothing is stamped, cropped or re-encoded — you get the highest-quality file Pinterest exposes for the pin.

pin.it short links work

Paste the short link straight from the Pinterest app — we expand it for you instead of asking you to convert it first.

Best available quality

Every rendition Pinterest exposes is compared and the highest-resolution progressive MP4 is picked automatically. When only an HLS stream is available, we merge it into a playable file.

Nothing to install

Runs in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS. No extension, no APK, no desktop app.

Multi-region support

Works with pinterest.com, pinterest.co.uk, pinterest.de and other regional Pinterest domains.

Nothing stored

Video bytes pass through and are not retained. No account is required and no download history is kept.

How it works

Three steps, and no account or app install. Everything runs in your browser.

  1. 01

    Copy the pin link

Open the video on Pinterest, tap Share, then Copy link. Full pinterest.com links and short pin.it links both work.

  2. 02

    Paste and resolve

We read the pin’s public data server-side and pick the best video source Pinterest exposes — usually 720p or 1080p.

  3. 03

    Save the MP4

Hit Download MP4. The file is streamed straight to your device at its highest available quality, with no re-encoding and no watermark added.
