Privacy Policy
How PinSave handles your data when you download public Pinterest videos and images.
Última atualização: 2026-09-03
Introduction
PinSave is a free tool that lets you download videos and images from public Pinterest pins by pasting a link. You can use PinSave without creating an account. This Privacy Policy explains what data we handle, why, and the limited ways we share it.
Information We Collect
We intentionally keep data collection minimal:
- Links you submit — When you paste a Pinterest or pin.it URL, we process it server-side to fetch the media and deliver it to you. We may temporarily log the submitted link, a timestamp, and the response status to prevent abuse and keep the service healthy. We do not permanently store the links you submit or the files you download.
- Usage & device data — Like most websites, we receive your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and which pages you view. This is processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and used for security, debugging, rate-limiting, and improving performance.
- Cookies — We use a small number of cookies to remember your language and theme preferences. If analytics are enabled, we may also set analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser.
- No account data — Because PinSave does not require sign-up, we do not collect usernames, passwords, or profile information.
- No payment data — The tool is free, so we do not collect billing details or card numbers.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate the download proxy and return the media you requested.
- To enforce fair-use limits and block automated abuse.
- To monitor performance, fix errors, and improve the service.
- To comply with legal obligations where required.
Media and Third-Party Content
PinSave fetches media directly from Pinterest's content delivery network at your request. We do not host, copy, or redistribute Pinterest content on our own servers, and we do not retain the downloaded files. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of any downloaded content complies with copyright law and Pinterest's terms.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers who operate our infrastructure — currently Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, security) and, if enabled, our analytics provider. These providers process data on our behalf under standard agreements.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information in response to a valid request.
Data Retention and Security
Submitted links and related request logs are kept only as long as needed for abuse prevention and are then removed. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and standard access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because PinSave has no user accounts, the only personal data we may hold is request logs; you can request deletion by emailing us at the address below.
Children
PinSave is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "updated" date at the top of this page.
